See portugal through our eyes as we traveled as a family!

Portugal Daze: Sun, Surf, and Saudade in the Land of Explorers

Portugal whispers of old-world charm, epic coastlines, and a laid-back pace that seeps into your soul. This time, we're skipping the tourist traps and heading straight for the good stuff: the Algarve's golden beaches, perfect for catching waves or soaking up the sun. Think hidden coves, dramatic cliffs, and turquoise waters begging to be explored.

Lisbon, Portugal's vibrant capital, offers a delicious contrast. Pastel-colored buildings line narrow streets, each twist revealing a hidden cafe or a quirky shop. Tram rides become an adventure, and evenings are best spent lingering over fresh seafood and glasses of vinho verde, the country's refreshing white wine.

So, ditch the crowds and embrace the "saudade" - a melancholic longing for something beautiful - that Portugal does so well. This trip is about slowing down, feeling the sand between your toes, and savoring the simple pleasures of this sun-drenched corner of Europe.

Our Plucky Life Portugal Picks:

  • The Algarve - some of the best beaches in Europe in our opinion, and great for singles or families. Along with beaches are some great history as well and fun activities!

  • Lisbon - Not only does Portugals capital also have great beaches, but history and a foodie scene as well!
